In the early 1970's, Charles and Lola Halbach were licensed beauticians in Linton Indiana. Highly respected members of the community and being well known for their professionalism and dedication to their customers, their business thrived. Having a passion for their profession, they wanted to share their knowledge and skills with others in the Greene County area. Thus, the Linton Beauty College was born. They were well known for having a high percentage pass rate amongst their students. Their daughters Diana Teague and Kathy Smith Bayne were among the graduates, and later went on to become licensed instructors and taught there as well. After many years of service to our community, due to aging and failing health, the difficult decision was made to close the doors of the Linton Beauty College. In 1992, the doors were closed for the last time...... Or so they thought.....
Businesswoman and granddaughter of Charles and Lola Halbach, Tera Orman, a licensed cosmetologist, shared that same passion and dedication to her profession as that of her grandparents. Being an entrepreneur, she had a vision and desire to share her profession with others looking to get into the beauty industry. She obtained her own instructor's license, and once again opened the Linton Beauty College in February of 2022. And now, the Linton Beauty College is back, and poised to carry on the family tradition well into the 21st century!
